Course Overview

MLSS and MLVSS is very important in controlling the activated sludge for the biological treatment process. Most of the formulas to control the activated sludge need to have the values of MLSS and MLVSS. In normal practice, these values were measured by appointed external laboratory due to unavailability of specific equipment to perform the measurement. Estimation of these values can be used practically but accurate values will definitely give accurate data for an effective activated sludge control.

This training program will assist the participants on how to measure and manage the MLSS and MLVSS values in their daily operation of the IETS. Focus of control method will be on F/M ratio, SVI, SOUR, WAS, and RAS.
