Volume II - Sewerage Works Procedures is specifically developed to provide a clear understanding of sewerage works procedure of the Sewerage Services Department (SSD) for the provision of sewerage infrastructure to new development or upgrading of sewer networks, sewage treatment plants and pumps station. Whilst the adherence to this guideline is necessary, engineering discretion is required for planning, design and installation of systems with special situations.

The publication of this second edition is hoped to further improve the sewerage infrastructure in this country to achieve the desired quality standards and to satisfy the twin objectives of maintaining public health and protecting the environment from the destructive effects of human waste and sludge.
